Breast Augmentation with Implants

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure aimed at improving the appearance of the breasts for various reasons. This may include increasing breast volume for aesthetic purposes, restoring fullness after pregnancy, correcting asymmetry when there are significant differences in breast size, or reconstructing after a mastectomy. The shape and size of the breasts prior to surgery have a significant impact on the choice of method and the final outcome. It is important to remember that if the breasts differ in size or shape before the procedure, complete symmetry after surgery may not always be achievable.

Breast augmentation involves placing implants either under the breast tissue or the chest muscle, depending on the body structure and preferences of the patient. Surgical incisions are made in a way that minimizes scarring—usually under the breast, around the lower part of the areola, or in the armpit. The choice of technique and placement of the implants depends on the individual preferences of the patient and the surgeon’s decision based on her anatomy. An important aspect to consider is that in the future, it may be necessary to replace the implants or undergo another surgery.

Price information

The final price depends on the scope of the procedure, including whether it is the first treatment or a follow-up, whether it will be combined with other procedures, and the type of anesthesia used. The patient will be informed of the final price during the consultation.

The price includes: clinic stay, procedure, anesthesia, dressings, pre- and post-procedure care, suture removal, and follow-up visits.

Post-Procedure Recommendations

Up to about 1 week after the procedure

  • Swelling or bruising in the upper abdomen may occur. This is a result of the swelling moving from the breast area to lower regions due to gravity. This is a temporary symptom and usually subsides after about a week.

After about 1 week post-surgery

  • You may perform breast exercises if recommended.

Up to about 2 weeks after the procedure
You should:

  • Keep your arms from the shoulder to the elbow along your body as much as possible. You can raise your arm to shoulder level.
  • Wear a special dressing and compression bra, which will be removed after about 1-2 weeks.
  • Avoid lifting heavy objects as well as reaching upwards and backwards.

Up to about 1 month after the procedure
You may:

  • Take a shower, but be careful not to wet the operated area.
  • Experience tenderness in the breast area after the procedure. The frequency and intensity of the discomfort will gradually decrease each day.
  • Feel more tenderness in one breast than the other; this does not mean anything is wrong.

It is recommended to:

  • Sleep with your head elevated and place pillows under your arms to reduce muscle tension, allowing for a more comfortable night’s rest.
  • Avoid sleeping on your side.
  • Wear front or back-buttoned clothing.

Avoid:

  • Clothing that is put on over the head.
  • Taking pain medication on an empty stomach, as this may lead to vomiting.

About 1 month after the procedure

  • You can return to most activities.
  • It is recommended to use Cicaplast ointment on scars (for at least three months). This will help reduce scars. A UV filter cream is also recommended to avoid pigmentation changes. It should also be noted that swimsuits do not provide sufficient sun protection. All creams should be applied in a thin layer.

For about 2 months after the procedure
You should:

  • Wear a special bra.
  • Completely avoid the sun and tanning beds.
  • Sleep on your back or side to avoid pressure on the breasts.
  • There is a strict ban on physical work and exertion.

After about 2 months post-surgery
You may:

  • Resume more strenuous exercises such as lifting heavy objects, golf, tennis, swimming, running, etc., but only if your body can handle it.
  • Still experience sensory disturbances in the lower part of the breast. This symptom will diminish over time, typically within a few months.

Patient Review

I had my breast surgery done in February. I just had my 3-month check-up. I am thrilled with the results. When I sent two photos of example breasts to illustrate to the doctor the effect I wanted to achieve, I didn’t expect them to be almost identical… But they are, even though Dr. Zachara did not promise miracles due to my anatomy. He chose the implants perfectly. The communication before the surgery was fantastic; Dr. responded really quickly and in detail to messages. The consultation at the clinic was also very pleasant and, importantly, unhurried. Immediately after the surgery, I didn’t need to contact the doctor or the clinic because I received clear and detailed instructions that covered everything. Moreover, I received information about the procedure, an anesthesiology questionnaire, and several other documents well in advance, which I could review calmly. As for the staff at MOOI CLINIC, I have no complaints; the ladies were very nice, helpful, and smiling. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

I underwent breast augmentation surgery in February 2024. The doctor conducted a thorough and dedicated interview before the procedure. The operation was successful, and I am SATISFIED! The clinic is beautiful, and the staff is amazing—everyone is very empathetic and helpful. The doctor is not only a great specialist in his field but also a very friendly and approachable person. During the pre-operative visit, the atmosphere was very relaxed and without any embarrassment. Thank you for my beautiful breasts, and soon I’m flying to Mooi Clinic to fulfill more dreams!
